Magpie Arts was founded in 2009 by Nicola Karwat and Zoe James. Having graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with 1st class Hons degrees in 3Dimensional Design, we decided to put the skills we had learnt to use!

Running alongside our own practice as jewellery designers, we run workshops teaching skills and sharing our passion for making. We soon realised that there was a gap in the market for informal adult workshops, which were affordable and didn't require a long term commitment from attendees. Delivering these adult workshops led to us attending schools across the North West running similar sessions but focusing on the new Enterprise Education Initiative.
